Planning is well underway for our trip to the German classic car, boat and plane show Klassikwelt Bodensee in Friedrichshafen, on the shores of Lake Constance (www.klassikwelt-bodensee.com).  With the lake and the nearby Dornier aircraft factory, the event is a festival of not only classic cars, but also of boats and aircraft. The town is home to the Zeppelin Museum which charts the history of the airship manufacturing industry in the area in the early 1900s. The diversity of activities means this is an ideal event around which to base our 2015 trip and the journey there and back will be some great driving roads taking us through beautiful countryside in France, Germany and Switzerland.

We will meet for lunch Wednesday 11 June then cross the Channel and overnight around 60 miles into France. From there its a leisurely two day trip arriving late Friday afternoon in Fredrichshafen where we will aim to stay in lakeside accommodation for three nights. The morning of Monday 16 June we will please Lake Constance for a return to the UK in the afternoon of Wednesday 18 June. 

Estimated cost of the trip is around £1,100 for a car and two people including the Channel crossings, seven nights accommodation, and dinners on most nights.
