Register meeting goes “live” at 2021 UK National Alfa Day - 27 June
Our first ‘live’ meeting of Register members and friends since 2019 was a happy, if cautious, get together with 15 Giulietta and Giulias parked in a corner of the large site of the former air force base that is now Bicester Heritage. After a picnic lunch, we all gathered for a presentation by new Register Chairman, Duncan Ferns, to outgoing Chair, Richard Wigley in recognition of Richard’s huge contribution and effective leadership of the Club during his seven years in the role. Richard actively brought our international membership closer together, with his interviews of Giulietta gurus and greats published in the Giuliettaletta, encouraging regular articles and updates from around the world, and visiting members and events in USA, Europe and New Zealand during family holidays. Richard received a small commemorative plaque and a selection of wines representing the countries toured by the Register under his chairmanship. Jackie Wigley, Richard’s constant navigator, advisor and tireless Register Cheerleader, was also thanked for her selfless support for all Register events.
